Climate Health in the District
In Washington, DC, the heat island effect disproportionately harms historically redlined communities. This event highlights how climate change impacts the district and spreads its awareness by speaking with experts, improving park accessibility, and providing aid to homeless shelters. This three day event is hosted through the APHA Student Champions for Climate Justice award.
